For what it is worth, we went last weekend, and did the whole trail (insanely great weather!). A CJ5 w/ 2" lift and 33's, and my CJ7 w/ a 4" lift and 33's did it w/o much trouble w/ the flows (although I did get my ass wet on the second crossing!). The published flow was at 180 cfs. Keep in mind that there is some additional flow from snow melt as well.

Have fun!

It's on the graph. We were up on the 15th, 16th, and 17th. Dreamflows.com shows that it was at about 180 cfs on the days we were there. On November 18th the flow was reduced to the 30 cfs or so that you currently see.

I was up there on the 14th 15th and 16. Great weather , trail was alittle tougher with the mud. Just a small amount of water in the jeep with 35s. Watch out for the mud holes before winch hill 1. Winch hill 1 has some big holes about 3/4s the way up. after that smooth sailing to meadow lake.

We made it to the top of the hill before the 1st river crossing, Via the Eagle Lakes route,
The 2 (Tj, and XJ,have never been off road) actually did great,!, (both open diff's but had 33's and 35's) we opt'ed to turn around at that point due the time and the big rocks ahead down to the river crossing, they were very impressed with the trail and wheeling in general,:smokin:, I explained to them the importance of treading lightly and the issues the trail faces with the Forestry/enviro's,.
I was very impressed with how clean the trail was,.
I only had to pick up 2 beer cans (1 being the old pull tab type!) 1 red zip tie, and a 12" section of some kind of wiring harness?

ok sorry, I was in a group of 3 toyota pickups, a taco on 39s and a cheroke, we made it down to the water crossing but turned back for lack of daylight. It was all of our first trips there and it was very nice, we all made it back up from the water crossing unasisted and 3 of us took the left run that is a bit harder than going right comming back up, but how much worse does it get, I know the winch hills are nasty, is there bypasses for any of it? we want to run the whole thing now but dont know if we can make it, only 2 of the rigs have winches, I made it to the very top of what someone called drivline hill? but after a minute or two I couldnt make the last step up and we needed to keep going.

Great Job Jaime, looks like you got 'em hooked! If we can keep spreading the message among the newbs, we can change the perspective of the eco-t' and the FS.

Thank you!

The rocks get bigger down the trail. You also need to cross the river 3 times (4 if you go out Cisco). It's a great trail with lots of fun. There are some bypasses but most are just as hard as the actual trail.

well my rig is a 85 yota with 3 inch BL and 63s with crappy dual shackles, and 2 in lift shackles in front locked in the back with 35x15.50 TSLs, but the smallest rig is a late 80s cheroke with a 3 inch spacer lift and 33s locked in the back, I had no problem getting up the hill back from the first crossing, but still dont know if we could go the distance... it sure is nice out there tho, what about comming in from meadow, any easier going backwards?
