You need to put the pirate code in in-order to get the discount.

As you can see that it applies the discount, making the bender under $600.

We were doing work to the website this week. So depending on when you tried it. The website might have gave you problems. It should be all done. If you are still having problems, contact me an I will make sure your order is placed.

I got mine in yesterday. It came very nicely packed. Very clean. Welded the base up and it is all sitting in the shop with a coat of primer on it. Thanks. I can't wait to use it. I will post a pic of when It is assembled. This is some nice quality work here.

im looking to get a bender in the near future. i dont think i will ever bend anything bigger than 1 3/4" 120 wall, and if i do go 2" it will be thinner. would it be okay to get the pro3 or fork out the extra for the pro4?

If you are going to spend the money on the 2" die it might be worth the opportunity cost for the pro4. One of your buddy's might want to have something bent and you can charge them that extra opportunity cost.

It is up to you but we only warranty up to 1 3/4" on the pro3.

I have carefully read this entire thread and looked over your web site and have become motivated to pull the trigger on a Pro 3 package, HSN-500 notcher, PN 531, MR 1-1/2 240 degree 5"cl die, 3N1DP digital protractor, & BEND-TECH EZ software. shipped to 92252. while my charming wife is still happy. (I had to spring for a family day at Disney Land... 'nuther story) Here's my questions...
1, can you send me a quote on the above (excluding Disney Land of course)?
2, Do I have to order this on line or can I call in the order & still get your super "Pirate 4X4" deal?
3, Your web site clearly says the shipped address must match my credit card. Because I live in the boonies, mail only comes to a PO box therefor my card addy is the PO Box. How can I order it then? UPS & Fed X will deliver to my home though...
Many Thanks from a soon-to-be beginner bender.

Not all die sets do 90* in one pass. It is determined by the CLR and tube size.

Dave-

I looked at your shopping cart and it is $127.38 for shipping and $47.50 for package/handling to AZ. That was for a Pro4 bender, die and software. I am not sure about the $208 that you canme up with.

So as you can see that we were losing money shipping a bender for $55 for and & dies$45 ea. This is the reason that we spent more money on a new shopping cart that can calculate the exact shipping cost.

The electric/hydro is faster no question. But speed is only going to help you if you have a programmable stop. Since you will have to sloe the electric/hydro down in order to read the degree that you want to bend. So unless you are planning to set up a stop for every bend, the electric/hydro is not worth the money. Because you could have a half a dozen bends done with the air/hydro in the time that it will take to set up the stop.

Im a noob dont flame me yet...lol. Ive bent lotsa of conduit so Ive got the principal down but those types of dies are standard.
I have 2 questions #1 which die I need for what I plan to do with this bender I plan on doing mostly 1.5" x.125 wall on the 1.5" dies if I want to do a 180* like a shock hoop which die will i need the 110* or the 240* and the CLR center line radius. Correct me if im wrong a 5" clr die would be able to do a 10" 180*.
#2 On the bendtech 3d is this also calculating program where it figures how much pipe is needed to do a project ?

Great Question....

We sell that bender as is. Meaning with the ram and all the thing that you will need to bend tube. If after you purchase our bender you want to modify it to suit your need thats great but you risk the factory warranty. In that regard we do not offer the bender an any other way then what we sell on our website. Please let us know if you have any other questions.

1. Why is the pipe sloped instead of level before bending?
2. Any clips of changing die sizes? Looks like a pain with the springs.

1. Why is the pipe sloped instead of level before bending? That is the nature of the dies. Some bend level and some don't, so there is not a real good way to combat that. It seems that the Pro3 and Pro4 do a better job then the Pro32 at keeping the tube level.

2. Any clips of changing die sizes? Looks like a pain with the springs. I do not have any video of changing the dies but I will keep that in mind for the next time I shoot video. As for getting the die out with the springs. It is the same as the with out the spring since you do not pull the 1" pin completely out while changing the die.

So if I understand correctly, a 6.5" radius may sit level where a 5.5" radius might not. Tube size Being the same of course.

We wanted to keep the Pro32 as close as we could to the Model 32. Just in case you have to warranty you die for some reason. You will still be able to.

hey i just got my bender put together since things finally slowed down after the holidays. lemme know if you see anything wrong...ill be taking it back apart tomorrow to paint it...i also need to weld in the tab that keeps the ram centered at the base...i forgot it the first time around...

a thing or two that im wondering are:

im also wondering what the black piece with the screw in it is for that came with the bender...it appears to be a tube clamp of some sort...my guess was for using angle gauge...but wasnt sure so i figured id ask

i was also under the impression that the ball valve was included but you had to pay extra for the "ball valve mount". is this not the case?

as far as the dies go...i know that the long screw that comes with them is the one that gets installed into the main die and is used to secure the tubing in the u strap...but what is the purpose of the small screw...ive seen it put in the tab on the follower die...but cant determine the purpose...

my 1.5" die set came with two pins...the bender came with the 1" pin for the very top hole...thats it. it seems that im missing one pin for the follower...look below at the pic...the pin circled in red is the one im missing...

Your Right. The Black clamp is a PPB tube clamp. I have been putting them in for free with the packages until the new year as a thank you for the successful year that we have had. So I hope you can get some good use out of it??!!

As for the missing ball valve & 7/8" Die pins, they should have been in the bolt box.If they are not there PM me and I will get you some out tomorrow. And I apologize for that. We had allot of orders going out right before Christmas and you might have some one else bolt box that did not order the package. It is hard for me to tell since most guy's only tell me if something is missing and not when I gave them something that they did not order. So again. PM me and let me know and I will get you them out in the morning.

FYI: Looks good...The bender looks ready for paint.

Ryan-

After looking at your order it was under your mom's name (Linda not Ryan) and she only ordered the PRO3 HYDRAULIC BENDER (1/2" Plate Steel Construction) for you.
Details:
Includes: The Model Pro3 bender, 17" Air/Hydraulic Ram, Bolts, Hardware and Assembly Instructions. (Base Kit (needs to be welded & assembled), Ball Valve Mount, Digital Angle Finder and Die Sets are "NOT" include in the price). So this is the reason that you did not get the die hitch Pins and the ball valve mount (Ball valve mount includes ball valve).

Nice Bender It works really well. This is my first bender so I really don't have much to compare it to. 2 things though that I replaced. 1st the base is made out of really thin square. I ended up just making my own out of heavier square stock. 2nd the bender come with grade 5 hardware. I replaced all the hardware with Grade 8 from Tractor Supply for $21.00

Hello
Newbie here. Looking for a machine to bend 1 3/4 .095 tubing mild or DOM for roll cages. What is my best bang for the buck machine and what die would you suggest? I dont know if I need 7' CLR or 6" CLR? If I need 110 or 240 degree dies?

Also, I am in Blaine. Can I use my pirate4x4 discount if I come and pick up a machine?

Your machines look awesome and I am looking forward to a purchase.

If you are looking to do 1 3/4"? The best bag for your buck is the Pro3 that will do that no problem. As for the Die, Most guys go with the 240* w/ 6" CLR for the application that you will be using it for. Hope that helps. If you want you can contact me ("Rob") at 763.315.5019 and I can go into more detail with you about what bender and die that you should choose. Look forward to working with you.

Question,I have the choice of 240* dies and 110* dies and they seem to be the same price. Why would I choose 110* dies?Am I missing something?

All I need to pull the trigger on this bender is to deside what degree dies to get.

I'd like a quote on a 32 package with 1-3/4" and 2" round tube dies and 1" square tube dies.

thanks

Not sure where you are getting prices on the dies but we do not sell dies for the Pro32. We only sell the Pro32 bender.

If you are looking for a price for the bender shipped to your door than go to ProBender.com and you can get a quote there to your address.

I'm sorry I thought thats why you were here. The 32 don't use the same dies??I chose the 32 because it had 3/4" plate and I don't want to limit my bending options.so your just pimping the 3,4 and 5??

Was wondering how much the Pro 3 Bender is for us on Pirate? Sorry if I have missed this along the way. I am totally new to bending but would like to give it a try. How do I know what CLR to buy? Also 110 or 240 deg die? I plan on trying to make a little buggy for off roading or maybe some go kart frames. Thanks for your time.

Attention!!!
Our Pro3 benders are now made with 1/2" thick plate steel and the new starting price is $679
Please visit our new website for details: http://www.probender.com (http://www.probender.com)

We are new here at Pirate4x4.com and looking to earn your business. We have been recommended and urged by Bend Tech and the 12voltguy.com to become a vendor on pirate4x4!! They feel that we have created a product that fulfills a niche in this market. Before checking out the video here are some points on why we feel our product stands out form other benders on the market:

1) Does a 90 degree bend without pulling a pin. (on most dies) This bender will do 180 degree bends with dies that are made to do 180 degree bends only.
2) Hydraulic ram
3) Can work with or without air compressor
4) Vertical bends taking up less room in the shop
5) Accurate with in 1/2 a degree
6) Smaller foot print then a moving dolly
7) Movable if so desired (no need to bolt it to your floor)
8) Retractable arms
9) Accepts both JD2 or PRO TOOL dies
10) Automatic stop (coming soon!!)

Now for only $999.95 extra you can order your Pro3 or Pro4 with the 4,000 PSI Electric/Hydraulic Pump & Ram Package. So for the guys that don't want to run the bender with air you can just plug it into the 110v wall socket.:D With this addition we know that you cannot find a better bender on the market for the money. Period.

http://www.probender.com/Power-Unit--Package.jpg

To add the 4,000 PSI Electric/Hydraulic Pump & Ram Package your bender order? Just check it as an option that you want for your new bender.

You guys have asked for it and here it is...

We are now selling the Pro32 that can bend 2" x .250 wall DOM tubing. For a limited time I am going to sell it for $799.95 and I will be starting a new tread in order to have a drawing to win one a New Pro32.

Ok so I going to bust your balls a bit here as I spent an hour reading this whole thread last night.:flipoff2:

Prices. Is the above prices still in effect? It's different than the website  Unless thats a red star member price you have posted.:grinpimp:

Red star bender die discounts. I see you already offer a 10% discount on the website over retail for Protool dies, but reading here the Pirate4x4 discount bumps that to a 15% discount:smokin:

I guess that brings up the next question, the probender 32 uses only JD2 32 dies correct?

TMI

The Pro3 is on ebay for $679.95. That is what we sell it for on there and there only. We are going to have a Oct. special that will be a great deal if you are looking into a bender.

As for the Die question. "No" The Pro-Tools Dies will not fit the Pro32. They will only fit the Por3/ Pro4/ Pro5.

Any questions please feel free to give me a call.

I'm planning on tubing alot of my crawler this summer and am in need of a tubing bender. This will be my first time using a bender and am pretty sure I will be using 1-3/4 chrome moly tubing for the beltline and rocker on this rig as I bash it pretty good here in arizona. There's getting to be nothing left of my jeep tub! So, I was wondering wich bender you recommended. I was think of the Pro3. What are your thoughts?

PIRATE4x4 coupon code still good? If not, any others available? I'll PM you what I'm looking to purchase if that helps. Yes I see the quote online but the codes doesn't work for me. :smokin:

We do not have any codes as of right now. You don't need them now that we dropped the price on the Pro3 from $879.95 to $499.95. That beats any code that we ever had. :smokin: Look forward to your order and have a great day.

Got mine, got it together and already bending tube!!!!

http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj7/moab_06/IMAG0191.jpg

Just a thank you to TMI for quick shipping (great packaging, not a ding or broken box when it got here) and great service. Quality product, easy to put together and everything fits perfect!!!!! :grinpimp:

Only recommendations I could make:
- Better instructions. The pics are great and fairly easy to understand, but some descriptions would be nice too. More of setting up the die and its related parts as well. I figured it out, but some tips there would be good.

- Some basic bending tips included. I printed out what I could find on the net, but some included would have been nice.

- and add some additional stickers. Sounds minor, but I woulda liked to put stickers on both sides of the bender. :D

- a free t-shirt with purchase :flipoff2: nice white large t-shirt with larger probender across the back and a little logo on front would be nice......

Thanks again, a great product that should last me a looooooooong time! :smokin:

Will the pro3 bender handle bending 2" .120 wall on occasion? I currently have a set of protools 2" dies and I am thinking of buying a pro3.

TMI
03-28-2011, 07:41 AM
Pro3 will do up to 1 3/4" and the Pro4's will do up to 2". So you will need to pick up a Pro4 if you are looking to bend 2" .120 wall.

I purchased one of these a while back and love it. Have you developed any kind of degree ring for it? I just looked through your site and did not see anything for a simple degree ring. I saw you have a new multi stop item but at $600 I don't bend enough tube to warrant it. Thanks, great product regardless!

That was what the cost was back in 2007-2008. The current price is what the website states. I have deleted that post from this tread. Just in case it causes any confusion.

Note: We do not have any codes right now on the benders.

If you have some pictures of just the valve mount please post up.

We mount the ball valve on the operate arm in the 5/8 hole. We take a 5/8 bolt and weld a small piece of tube to form a T. Then we used to hose clamps to secure it.

Hey Rob, I bought a bender (3/8" plate) from you a few years back and last month accidently pined the die in the leg of the bender and not the arm.:( Tweeked the legs out a little but still bends. Anyways i was wondering if i could just order the legs of the bender? Thanks in advance for any help you can offer me. James

Also just wanted to let anyone know if they are looking to purchase a tube bender, just get a Probender. I can bend with one arm tied behind my back and do it twice as fast than my buddy can on his air over hydrolic horizontal bender.

Would someone who owns one of these benders take a measurement for me? I'm wondering how high off the ground the pivot for the die is? What's a good working height? I notice the got trikes job is pretty low. The stand for a regular JD2 is 36". Thanks, Jeff

Working height is 32" to 36" depending on the CLR of the die.

ok this may be a stupid question but im 17 and still learning, you said anything over 120 psi will hurt the bender, My main compressor at home is a 80 gallon ch with like 190 psi , I have split off air lines in my shop all with individual regulators, so If i wanted to use this I would just hook it up too a split off line and turn the regulator down too 120psi and it will work correct?

TMI
01-06-2012, 09:18 AM
;) you got it... There is no benefit to running more than 120 PSI. All you are going to do is blow out the seals. The Bender will not go any faster. Hope this helps.
