: Flaky Detroit, need some advice

I have an 11 year old detriot in my 9" and it randomly chooses to just spin one tire at times. Around town I can get on the gas and bark the inside tire around the corner so I know that it works then. But starting last winter on a Snow run, some folks noticed that is started this flakiness. Sometimes I can modulate the brake and get it to catch.

I sent an email to Traktech two weeks ago, no response. Is it worth rebuilding? I really don't want a spool, and I am already plumbed for an ARB in the front and am considering this. I really don't have the $$ to buy a new locker and would prefer to rebuild the detoit if this is even possible

Any advice here?

Thanks

SeanP

Call them, and they will either rebuild t for you, or send you the parts for you to do it.

Maybe you should try emailing Tractech...they're the ones that make the Detroit

I have the detroit owners manual up on my webshots album (http://community.webshots.com/album/19011666xdoYNaahzb)
it has a troubleshooting section
