WhiskeyTango 10-29-2001, 11:52 PM I don't think 1/4 inch will dent that easy!!But if it do that means I was at least trying to get it
Shaker 10-30-2001, 04:14 AM Hope you didn't spend to much.... <IMG SRC="smilies/laughing.gif" border="0"> <IMG SRC="smilies/laughing.gif" border="0"> <IMG SRC="smilies/laughing.gif" border="0"> <IMG SRC="smilies/eek.gif" border="0">
Brandon 10-30-2001, 06:44 AM the sad thing is it don't look like a dana cover so then it is probably real thin - which means you hit that shoe and the whole area dents in...
Get a dana cover and be done <IMG SRC="smilies/smile.gif" border="0">
It looks like an early RC44 diff cover with the high fill plug.

WhiskeyTango 10-30-2001, 09:32 AM I used a Miller 250 glue gun , It works pretty well.
Hypoid Drive 10-30-2001, 09:53 AM I always appreciate someone trying to make there rig a more capable offroader but chrome wont get you home and by the way chrome is <IMG SRC="smilies/rainbow.gif" border="0"> <IMG SRC="smilies/rainbow.gif" border="0"> <IMG SRC="smilies/rainbow.gif" border="0"> <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0"> <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0"> <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0"> <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0"> <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">
WhiskeyTango 10-30-2001, 11:45 AM I needed it to be chrome to match my stainless bolt on nerf bars and shiny aluminum wheels <IMG SRC="smilies/blush2.gif" border="0">

jeeplvr4A 10-30-2001, 12:51 PM I can tell you by the picture that it is a 1/8" thick cover and who knows about that added part.
That looks like a goiter hanging off that thing.
If you don't mind me asking, what the hell was the idea there? Is it a skid plate?

Monkeyboy 10-30-2001, 01:37 PM I think I'll take my current thick dana cover and weld a little patchwork od armor onto it.
Johann 10-30-2001, 01:58 PM Shouldn't that skid go all the way top to bottom to spread the impact? The way it's set up now it looks like the skid will just drive the cover right into your r&p faster.

WhiskeyTango 10-30-2001, 02:43 PM That's not my club, I only recognize one of those dudes, but maybe they are friends of my buddy who made the website. The idea with the plate is to hopefully give the ring gear a lil protection and make a ramp to lift the front diff up over a rock so the rock won't use the bolts as a ramp cuz I have to buy new bolts from the last excursions toll on the rig

High5 10-30-2001, 07:38 PM well it looks like it'll work to me. i does hang below the diff which i dont't like but it will prevent you putting the diff cover into the ring gear. i've done it even with a 1/8" thick cover. as for the glue comments i knew what you ment and the others didn't even get it after you posted the "glue" gun you used was a miller 250. <IMG SRC="smilies/glasses.gif" border="0">
Ha ha ya that (miller glue gun) got by more than a few people here.
