It is kinda of confusing, Motive gear bought Alloy Usa's stock and Ron Stobaugh part owner of alloy has moved to motive. Omix bought alloy/precision gear so the alloy name is dead. the Ten factory name is the new name in quality axle shafts w/ a ten year warranty. Same quality specs that alloy had now with a great big company to support it.

Its a ten year manufacturers warranty if it breaks you send it back and they send you a new one. We are trying to stay fully stocked on these in precuts, so if you break one we ship you one immediatly and well take care of the warranty for you. If you do have a problem with a product we sell, we will warranty it or help you warranty it, not push you off to the manufacturer. For example we have warrantied some precision gears for customers lately and we have just footed the bill. I believe this will come back in customer loyalty.

Im confused by the question, who is getting bought out alloy or ten factory. Ten factory is owned by mid west truck which owns motive they are huge and very repsectable. Alloy is now owned by Omix they are also huge and despite their other product lines which is alot of bolt on jeep stuff have an awesome distribution system. They have alloys stock and are continuing to produce the shafts the same way alloy did. Both companies have a 10 year warranty. Both companies are honoring warranties on alloy shafts, Omix/alloy are only doing it on a ratio basis per vendor, ie if x vendor bought and sold one set of shafts and is trying to warranty 20 sets they are not going to warranty all of them. 10 factory says and is warranting any broken Alloy shafts. I just warrantied a stub shaft for a customer that did not purchase from me and niether manufacturer had the shaft, so what vendor you purchase form plays a roll as well. As long as there is a supply of alloy or 10 factory shafts we will be personally warranting these shafts. No matter who owns the name or the manufacturing process. Were selling ten factories predominatly b/c they are the same quality as the alloys but much less money the new alloy for this same set of shafts is going to retail in the $900 range w/ no joints. Once the old alloy stuff sells of which is going cheap right now the new pricing threw omix/alloy is high. So theres the scoop........

Yuko bought warns axle division and are releasing a new line of american made shafts, these prices will also be higher but of much better quality.

Shafts are still warrantied as long as you use a spicer forged joint or better, just don't run a brute force joint in it. But basically there would be no way to tell what joint you ran and warranty is still good.
