hey guys... just wanted to post this for more of an informational thing for the search then anything.
I installed my front dana 60 and just did the brakes.
setup...
87 dana 60 from a ford f350
15x10 8 lugg National tire monster wheels w/ 3 1/2-3 5/8 back spacing.
1 ton dual piston calipers old style w/ the caliper retaining key
results....
about 3/4 of the grinding was on the caliper brackets and retaining key. the calipers are open top which gives you ALOT of room above the caliper itself. i spent about 2 hours getting it done which is mainly because ive never done them before. the calipers themselves have not lost any strength because i only had to grind the corners and at most i htink that was 3/16"
so good luck to anyone doing this it ended up alot easyer to do with these ford calipers then it looks to do with chevy stuff.
ill try to get some pics if i have time
DP:flipoff2: :D
