Is it true that the steering knuckle's assembly is the same size for the dana 30 front end and or a dana 44?
How about for GM front ends?
Are they all the same size?
Thanks Jim Aka Wilseya

Thanks Gearman
I am thinking about building a new front end for my Jeep using a ford 9 inch center section. I was just trying to figure out what all I will need to come up with for donor axles.
Thanks again Jim Aka Wilseya

I think YJ & XJ D30's are different?

Ype only certain Dana 30 are the same. XJ's,TJ's, ZJ's and YJ's are all differant. All the old stuff interchanges though. CJ, Scout, Ford bronco Dana 30's all swap back and forth with Dana 44 stuff. But the inner yoke uses a smaller tubing diameter. So the outers will swap but the inner only fit the axle they came off of or at least only the same size tubing.

Not EB mike, those dana 30's use kingpins. actually some old drum brake ford dana 44s use kingpins too, but not EB 44's. but like you said cj/scout/fulsize except kingpin fords. knuckles exchange between 10 bolts dana 30's and dana44's

I would not purchase either without a look first. But it is my experience that the 30 and 44's have the same outers, sure there are exceptions, thats why you have to look first. But if they are different, it is clearly obvious. Its not like they would look the same and be an 1/8" off or something.
