EDITED: 02/01/09 Added new location items for Level 100. Also updated a couple mistakes I found in spelling and grammar.
EDITED: 01/24/09 Removed the school payouts because they change often enough that I won't try to keep up with updates.
EDITED: 01/08/09 Updated new pricing according to the shops. Also, updated new crime payouts; both cash and experience. Mods must have updated these recently, but it looks good! Great job guys!
EDITED: 01/04/09 Updated the statistics section to include use of the Power Trainer and included more description about glitter.
EDITED: 01/02/09 Updated to include a comprehensive items list per TwistedTJTank's request. Also, updated the last payout for crimes posted by BSpencer.
EDITED: 12/31/08 Updated some of the durability on the rig items. Some changes have been made to these items to coincide with the level of the items. For example all level 40 items are higher in durability than any level items below and so on... If anyone has any questions about this please post. Thanks... Also, updated the school section to contain the posting of all the schools and the payouts and such. New level 80 shops have been updated as well. Nothing there :(!
EDITED: 12/27/08 Updated new gas items at level 20 location as well as new gas prices.

EDITED: 12/15/08 Updated new location with items for Level 50. Updated what stats affect in the game. Also, Papee has updated the refesh rate to be slightly increased. Non-donators now updated (I believe) 25% every 5 minutes and donators update 33% at every refresh.
EDITED: 12/10/08 Updated some of the new crime payouts. I was unaware these changed until I read a post by Papee; apparently they have been changed for a few days already.
EDITED: 12/06/08 - Updated to include comments about being attacked while offline.
EDITED: 12/01/08 - Updated non-donator interest and withdrawal fees. Updated some of the durability numbers for the Lebanon, TN location.

Do not mail the admins asking for glitter, weapons or other game items unless otherwise instructed in Announcements or for a Donator Package. Admins do not sell or trade for any game items other than glitter listed occasionally in the glitter market.

Helpful Instructions
The game is free to play however, by becoming a Donator (http://game.pirate4x4.com/donate.php?action=buy) to the game special features are unlocked, such as friends list, enemies list, faster vital refresh rates, donator days and more interest in banks to name a few... Also, this enables to game designers to commit more time and effort to the game to make it better for everyone.

You start the game with $1000 cash, 25 glitter and 50 health. You health increases by 10 points at every level (level 1 = 50, level 2 = 60, level 3 = 70, etc…). In this game there are two main game play parts: first your rig; you will have to buy a starter rig for $500; buying accessories for it as you can afford them. The capabilities of your rig will depend on the competitions as well as other features you can do in the game. Secondly, your personal items; you will need to get a weapon and armor for personal use. These items as well as your stats (under the Gym section) will determine the results when someone attacks you or when attacking someone else. This is the main way of gaining experience needed to gain levels in the game.

Statistics
Your vital statistics (Health, Skill and Energy) refresh at a rate according to your game status, donators vitals will refresh 33% faster than non-donators.
Working out at the gym uses Energy, but will also help increase the much needed Strength, Dexterity, Speed and Guard to make you stronger in the game. Refresh occurs every 5 minutes and this can be monitored by the game clock.

Strength = Damage for attacks.
Dexterity = Helps out on crimes (getting caught less).
Speed = Helps to hit people more (less slipping).
Guard = Defense against attacks.

Along with the gym to work towards increasing stats there is now a Power Trainer that is available for Level 20 and above Donators. With this you can used an increased amount of glitter for each train rather than the singular gym train. This really helps burn through that precious glitter faster and allows you to do bulk stat increases. You can use 100 glitter or 200 glitter per train. You must also have a minimum or 500 glitter to utilize this Power Trainer as well. Fro example: if you have 600 glitter and you select to use 200 to train a stat then you will only have 400 glitter remaining. You will not be able to use the Power Trainer again until you raise your glitter above 500.

Glitter
Glitter is one of the most important aspects of the game. As a lower level player you will gain glitter easiest by ensuring you log in everyday and completing your Wheelin’ trips. Keep in mind that this amount of glitter given is random. Glitter is gained through your job and can also be acquired through the Donator Packs (http://game.pirate4x4.com/donate.php?action=buy). You also are able to Vote (http://game.pirate4x4.com/vote.php) for glitter. You are allowed to do this once a day. There 2 separate places to vote: Top Web Games and Apex Web Gaming. Make sure to do this for an extra 80 glitter daily!

There are many ways to play the game so I'll go over the two most common: the first is to gain as much experience as you can. This allows you to move on in the game getting the best weapons and rigs. The second is to take your time building up your stats. By doing this you may be able to beat some of the people at higher levels than you; gaining more experience for beating someone higher level in the game.

Keep in mind that this game is online 24/7! This means that if you log off of the game that you are still technically in-game play. You can still be attacked and your money (and soon glitter) can still be taken away from you. Be smart and put everything into your bank while you are offline. Also, keep in mind that other than money (and soon glitter) you do not lose anything from being attacked and killed. Your stats or rig items are left completely untouched, so don't worry about being killed in combat. On a good note: you can also be attacked and win. This will allow you to gain experience even while offline.

One of the first things you will need to concentrate on as a new player is to commit crimes. I try to use the amount of skill that is required for the crime as a level guide as well. For example: continue to commit the level 1 crime until you are level 5, then you can upgrade to committing the skill level 5 crime. Please see the crime payouts below.

Crime Payouts
Rob the Quicky Mart = $50
Pr0n Sales = $100
Night Run = $200
Kick Camos Ass = $300
Steal Roxy’s Gnomes = $400
Club Fund Embezzlement = $500
Glitter Bomb = $1000
Counterfeiting = $10,000
e-Threats = $12,000
Hack a website = $15,000

Also, you will note the experience paid out for each crime below. This will help out to understand and plan your level advancement.

Crime Experience
Rob the Quicky Mart = 4 points
Pr0n Sales = 20 points
Night Run = 50 points
Kick Camos Ass = 75 points
Steal Roxys Gnomes = 100 points
Club Fund Embezzlement = 115 points
Glitter Bomber = 150 points
Counterfeiting = 380 points
e-Threats = 450 points
Hack a Website = 550 points

You will also want to get a job. Start with the lowest job and try to promote every day. Promotions are dependent upon your current level and days in the job.

Wheelin’ Trips are another important part of the game that helps you out daily. You will want to log in every day and complete all of your wheelin’ trips. They are not required to be completed all at once; you can space them out as you like. Some of the things you can acquire on wheelin’ trips are band-aids, sporks, cash and even glitter. Keep in mind that just as in real life it costs cash to wheel, you may incur broken parts on the trail and will need to pay to have them fixed.

It is important to also keep an eye on your wealth. Although you will of course want to spend all your wealth on items, armor, weapons and other things you will also need to reserve some of this for a savings account. There are 2 types of savings accounts; regular and Swiss. The good thing about a savings account is that is gains you interest. Ideally, you will want to begin with a regular savings account (unless you already have well over $100,000 cash). After every crime or selling and item you will want to keep as little cash on your person as possible. This amount is liable to be mugged from you during a fight – in the case that you lose. Once you are able to safely open a Swiss account (this costs $100,000 just to open) you need to do this. You will quickly see how much interest plays a part once you start getting more and more money into this Swiss account.

Non-Donator Accounts Interest/Fees
Regular Savings Account - 0.1% Interest per day and a 2% fee to withdraw
Swiss Savings Account - 0.2% Interest per day and a 3% fee to withdraw

Donator Accounts Interest/Fees
Regular Savings Account - .2% Interest per day
Swiss Savings Account - .3% Interest per day

Attacking
When attacking another player you must first have 16.67% energy to attack. Secondly, you must also have 10 glitter to start the attack. If you do not have these 2 together you can run away from the fight. Once the attack is started you are unable to exit combat until your attack is completed, you run away or you are defeated. On the attack you have 2 choices: attacking with your equipped weapon or attacking with your fists. If you win the battle you are given 3 choices: Leave them to Rot, Mug the Scum, Call an Ambulance. When you leave them to rot or call an ambulance the player will go to the Hospital. When you mug the other player they will still go to the Hospital, but you will have the chance to successfully mug the player or get caught and not receive any cash. Upon a successful mug you will receive a portion of the other player’s current available wealth along with the experience from the fight.

Keep in mind when you are in a gang and the above attacking is used against a gang member that you are at war with then the 3 choices (Leave them to Rot – 4 Respect, Mug the Scum – 2 Respect, Call an Ambulance – 3 Respect) also allow for certain levels of respect that are gained by your gang and lost for the other gang. Keep in mind though if you lose that no respect is gained/lost by either player (this can be an advantage during a war if used advantageously).

Rig Head-to-Head Competitions
To challenge a player you must go into that players User CP and click on the [Challenge] tab. You will then be given a menu to choose what to challenge for; money and/or glitter. Enter your amount of one or the other or both then click the challenge button. The Challenge has now been issued. and you will await the other player to go head to head with you.
*You do not need to be in the same city to do this challenge.
*You must have 5 fuel to accept or issue a challenge.
*You must be above level 20 to issue or accept a challenge.

Completing Competitions increases your Driving Skill. This is assumed to increase your chances of winning a Head-to-Head competition. Below is a list of experience points for the normal competitions.

Competition - Fuel - Wealth - Experience
Death Valley Trail Run - 1 - 50 - 1
Carnage for the Con - 2 - 100 - 2
Sledgehammer - 3 - 150 - 3
CalRocs - 4 - 200 - 4
W.E. Rock Cedar City, Utah - 5 - 250 - 5
W.E. Rock Dayton, TN - 8 - 375 - 7
XRRA Rock Race, Colorado Springs, CO - 10 - 5000 - 9
W.E. Rock Grand Nationals - 15 - 7500 - 8
King of the Hammer - 20 - 10000 - 6
Baja 1000 - 25 - 25000 - 10
Rocks N Stuff - 30 - 50000 - 21

Items
Most items need to be moved from your garage to your inventory to work. Use some common sense when figuring out what an item does. Think about what it does in real life or where you can get them. Also, you will notice that after a few wheelin’ trips your garage will start to pile up with band-aids and sporks; you can quantify your items. Doing this will basically combine everything that is alike to make a single row of several items.

Spork – Reduces the time you are in Jail/Impound until you bust yourself out.
Band-Aid – Heals your health and minimizes the time you are in the Hospital until you bust yourself out.
C-4 – Busts you out of Jail/Impound.
Red Bull – Heals your health (approximately 2 refreshes worth).
Hammer – Significantly reduces the time you are in Jail/Impound until you bust yourself out.

Keep in mind when buying items that just because you have the best weapon in the game it does not make you the most powerful fighter... For example, if you are level 1, and you purchase an AK-47 and you go to attack another level 1 player and lose you cannot assume that the weapon sucks. You have to keep in mind that you statistics actually play a bigger role in your overall damage and ability to hit another player. A basic rule in the beginning; sell some glitter to get cash to buy a few items, then use the rest of your glitter to refill your own energy and build your stats. Without stats you will always be weak and lose many battles.

Rigs
Buying a rig is essential if you plan to do any wheelin’ or competitions. Buying a rig works pretty much like traveling: it is based on a specific price (increases with each rig) and a player level requirement. You will also see shops in every travel location that offer different items to upgrade your rig. You can use the durability of the items to determine the strength/power of the item and what it will add to you rig. See the lists below. Keep in mind that when you are doing competitions you will need to refuel your gas tank. The cost of this is 2 glitter per gallon. Depending on what size fuel container you have determines how much glitter it will cost to get you going on your next trip.

Rig Name - Level - Cost
Stock Toyota - 1 - $500
Little Red Zuk - 5 - $1,000
pappystoy - 10 - $10,000

I didn't mean to infringe on the black market guys. That was not my intention at all, but I can understand how that would affect it. Honestly with as much cash that floats around the game I highly doubt it will after it that much really. Like both of you have mentioned though; pay to play.
Also, consider the amount of high-lelve vs. low-level players. I am trying to get those lower guys leveled up so the higher-level guys have some competition.

Jamus2
11-24-2008, 08:41 PM
In addition to competition for higher level guys, it may make more targets for higher levels to hit. At the top there aren't that many different people you can attack for exp, which makes it stale hitting the same few.

Are the numbers for experience that everyone gets a constant number? For example I've noticed that the #1 skill crime gives 4 exp points every time you do it. Is this the same regardless of level/rig/stats? If it's constant I think we should add a listing of what exp each crime gives out as well as the money.

VT-WHEELIN
11-26-2008, 12:12 PM
that would help a lot

Teutonictxn
11-26-2008, 06:12 PM
Ok. So I did some testing on the experience and have added it in just below the section about crime payouts. This testing was done at level 25 so if I could get a few people to randomly test the numbers at all level ranges to verify the numbers are the same regardless of level. I still need the last 3 as I don't have enough skill level to do these crimes. The pay out money has already been posted.

Counterfeiting = ?? points
e-Threats = ?? points
Hack a Website = ?? points

Since we are going to get into experience I would to ask if anyone has done any testing with experience based on gym participation (I know it is level dependant)? Has anyone done any testing with experience numbers on busting people out of jail/hospital/impound? I do relize this is much more complicated; being based on your level, the level of the person being busted and ???. Regardless of all of these it should still be a percentage at each level (for both players). I just don't know if anyone has watched it closely enough through level progression at all. I will try to come up with something as well...

Edit: I just noticed this but Kicking Camos Ass pays out the same experience as the Night Run. The night run costs less skill! I double checked this several times with both and it is indeed 20 points. Can someone else verify this? If this is the case Then new people can definitely use this little bit to excel (at least some).
Also, based on experience points payout vs. skill spent the Rob the Quicky Mart is the best pay out. Does everyone agree?

Jamus2
11-26-2008, 11:14 PM
Off the top of my head I know that the least exp you can get off busting people is 5 points. You'll get no less than 5 even if you're level 50 and they're level 1. Above that it's like you said, hard to determine, might even have a random part to it.

Yeah, the quicky mart crime is the best bet, if you don't mind doing it a million times, for those higher level guys.

Just noticed something odd, I had 2 hour until I could clock in for my job and decided to ask for a promotion (I had asked every day so far and got denied). This time I got my promotion, but it says I already clocked in for the day and can't clock in for another 24hrs. I didn't get any $, glitter, or stats for today at all. I guess there is a tip. Clock in for the day, then ask for promotion.

Huge learning curve for this game. When I hit level 5 I went to Danville. I got the stinger assuming it was better than the skid plate (higher level stuff) because there was no way to verify if it was better or not. Looks like they are the same (4/4). Waste of $600.

You don't get paid the first time because you have to work to get paid. If you just got promoted you have to have time in which means you won't get paid until the next day.

To change jobs...It looks like you have to quit the one you have, to apply for a new one?

And, is the best time to quit right after you are paid, or, does the first "apply day" of the new one pay you for the application day?

If you get paid for the first day you apply, rather than 24 hrs later, THEN quitting BEFORE getting paid by the old job makes sense...as the new one will pay more for that day.

If you don't get paid until 24 hours later (After the "apply date") on the NEW job, THEN applying for the new job AFTER GETTING PAID by the old job makes more sense...as it avoids skipping a pay day.

So - how does it work?

:D

Teutonictxn
12-11-2008, 02:19 PM
So, under the Job info there are 3 main places to work: Tech Jobs, Offroad Fab Shop ,
Parts Supplier. Now with these 3 places to work are jobs within. Each job has specific level and stats requirement. as noted under Jobs Info (http://game.pirate4x4.com/jobinfo.php). You have to promote up each job in order and meet all of the requirements. You cannot promote daily even if you meet the requirements for the next level. Although I have not tested every job level there seems to be a 2-3 day time-in-job requirement as well. For example: if you are an Apprentice, level 6 and all stats at 800, you must still be an Apprentice before promoting to the next level.
Now, when you reach the top level at a particular place you must then quit your job, then rehire to the newer place. I suggest waiting 2-3 days in the last job before quitting to go to the next; also make sure you meet ALL listed requirements.
Another bit of information is to clock in first, every day, then attempt to promote. Try to promote every day, but always after a clock in.
Hope this makes sense and answers your questions TEEEJ.

So why is it that on the crimes the higher the crime: the less experience you get for doing it. i.e. Quickie mart cost one skill and gives you 4 exp. so thats a 4:1 where as a glitter bomb gives you 100 exp. for 40 skill thats 2.5:1 you would think bigger crimes would pay out larger amounts of exp. per amount of skill used.

If your wondering Night Run has the best 50 exp @ 10 skill (5:1)

I put percentages next to the crimes. I still don't think that's how they should be. My opinion is that the ratio should increase as the skill requires increases. Right now there's no benefit of being a higher level and haveing the stats to accomplish a crime any higher than the Night Run.

Based on the updates to this thread I made today you may find that there is a different durability to an item left in your inventory. You will have to sell this item and purchase a new one to get the updated durability. This will ensure you are getting the correct durbaility for your calculations towards total rig durability.

here is the lvl 80 crime. pays out 10k

You downloaded Photo shop to make some fake $20s. You will try to pass them off at the local Taco Bell and return the Tacos to Lance for a reward.

The cashier just took the 20's and gave you the change and food Looks like lance will be eatin some food today!

unfortunately due to less income (lowered interest rates) many of us cannot afford to sell our higher level gear and replace it...

i have a cherry bomb that is rated 10/10 durability. why would i want to get rid of it and buy a new one, when it is already higher rated than any other exhaust option?

Alright - in trying to best equip a rig, should we go by the list on page 1 as far as what is strongest, or the durability rating? For instance, page 1 says:

Engine Exhaust
Cherry Bomb Glasspack - Engine Exhaust - 5/5 - Level 0
Hooker Headers with Flowmasters - Engine Exhaust - 8/8 - Level 40

But, I have a Cherry Bomb with 10/10. Does the 10/10 mean that it's better than the Hooker Headers? Same thing on my 10/10 AEM Intake. Also - I have an Atlas that's good for 8/8, and a Toyota that's also rated at 8/8. I'm running the Atlas, but should I be?

those must be older items...always go with the rating of the item...if it says 10/10 then yes it's better even tho its retarded sometime :)

I'm at level 3 right now and I'm trying to accumulate glitter and wealth as well as parts. Which should I be concentrating more on. Will large amounts of glitter come in handy later in the game as I advance or should I sell it off and put cash in the bank and better accessories on the rig?? Thanks guys.

i Have a little question. i leveled up to level 20 and after that i cant see who is in the town that i am.

Before it was "players list" or something like that under City category but it isnt there anymore.

It looks like you lost your star. That feature is only available for redstar folks.

How do I go up in level?

Attacking people, doing crimes, and going to the gym will make your Experience go up. which in turn makes you level up.

Is there a reason the Stinger cannot be loaded for level 5. I thought it was a level 5 part?
