tiessen 08-13-2002, 10:32 AM I busted a 31 spline Dutchman shaft in my 8.8 last weekend. I called Dutchman and they recommended replacing both. Why? They said 'maybe damage to the other shaft'. Well, it looks OK. Are they just trying to upsell me? Are they just trying to upsell me? Check the splines and the shaft to see if it's twisted at all. If it looks good and straight then run it. If the shafts are equal length then I'd buy two new ones and keep your old one as a spare. | |
