Removed the 258, BA10/5 and NP231 T-case. replaced all wiring on the body; Lights, signals, horn, ect. No wiring for the motor and other systems yet. looking to replace them with a low mile; junk-yard; fuel injected; something or other. Maybe a 305 or 350. Need input from someone who has done a carb to injection swap, before I can attach a tranny and t-case.

You should re-title the post like "Engine swap reccomendations" or something like that.

I foyu don't plan on mud bogging or something stupid like that, my .02 is to get a MPI 4.0L out of a cherokee. They put out plenty of power without having to build a crazy oversized drivetrain. The only problem is that they are a little long...
