Okay I know that this be an odd post but bear with me here! I needed wiper arms and blades for my CJ5 since none came with her. The PO decided not to utilize the creature comfort known as good vision and and a clear windshield! Went to the Zone and Advanced and both offered the same price on replacement arms and blades. Same brand in each as well. So I picked up a pair of each. Assembled them and from the moment I got them put on I was a bit aggravated...
First off the blades themselves have a flimsy style of clip that does not stay attached to the wiper arm under any pressure. Rain is okay but it seams like even two or three snow flakes will make it fly off. Three styles of clips came with the blades and only one physically fits the arms so I don't have another option in that respect.
Secondly the blades are too long to fit my windshield!? They hit the seal on the top and sides and bottom. I had to trip a good half inch off the blade's top and bottom, from the spine of the wiper, to get it to clear.
Has anyone else had this problem? These are supposed to be direct replacements. This is the second time I purchased a set of each thinking that the first may have been falling apart due to user error. (Like I can weld like a pro yet can't assemble a wiper blade and arm?!) Anywho, the second time I even dropped so low as to have the guys at the store assemble them for me in case I was having a bout with some cranial flatulence and over looked something.... same results.
Any advice??!!!
