I broke my rear detroit locker in my Salisbury rear axle (Series 3 109).

So I was, in the parking lot of Wendys. I was pulling around to the window to pick up my frosty n' burger when all of a sudden, BAM! At first I thought it was just the locker unlocking. It does that from time to time and it is pretty violent.

As I pulled away, that is when I realized that only one rear wheel was providing power. Dang it. I pulled both rear axle shafts, they are fine.

So I gotta find a place where I can get replacment parts for said locker. I originally bought the locker from GBR back in 2003. I am not suprised it blew, I just wish it wouldn't have done it right when I don't have any time.

Anyone know who to talk to?

That was a hint to do the rovertracks conversion on it. . YEAH!!!

What's broken? Kind of unusual that a DL breaks if the Axle didn't...

Dana 70 NoSpin ($380 usually) 35 spline axles with fancy stubs we can do it with Series hubs (pretty sure) or go all out, use coiler hubs and get rear Discs..

Why ? They all do that - the one I have in a stock LR rear diff has done it done it since 1998...

I've talked to a couple people and everyone has told me that if the shaft didn't explode, then the locker is under lifetime warranty.

Woot.

I guess now I need to get warranty info. I think I am the only poor bastard that hasn't blown a shaft and the detroit at the same time.
