: I tried something new and it worked.
This is sortof an FYI post.
When I decided to lower the MASSEY LIFT EQUIPT tj. I thought to myself... Self, you need a lower CG, and softer rear springs.
At that point I was happy with the front flex that I had from the RE 6" springs and 1" spacers. But unhappy with the flex from the RE 6" springs and no spacers rear.
So I decided to purchase the el-cheepo rear springs. I got skycrappers 4 1/2" rear springs.
Installed them, and removed the front spacers then cut the bottom of the front springs untill it sat level again. I figure the Skycrapper's will sag and I can use the 1" spacers in the rear once they do.
So after installation, it worked great! Very soft in the rear, Still soft in the front. Way lower CG. And much much more stable all over. The 35's still fit without too much rubbing. (just a little bit) and I even reused my old shocks.
Moral to my story, If you don't like half of your TJ, just change the half you dont like.

ummm yeah, the tube was in the way of a BH bolt, so I pulled it out and glug glug glug :eek: and steve just had a little bit of absorbent and couldnt find the kitty litter, there wasnt much I could do. I didnt think my coveralls would absorb it all if I rolled around in it.
