i have a 78 jeep cherokee front axle,,,but its at a friends house and i dont feel like driving 50 miles to go check it. any one know the wms to wms length of a 78 cherokee?

If it's a 2 door, it will be 65", if it's a 4 door, Scout Dude is correct.

I have a 76, wich is the same axle....it is 62".

I believe that the 76-78 are the wide track

The wide track axles only came in 2 doors. the front is wider, the rear is still the same, somewhere around 61-62". I just put a set from a '76 2 door in a zuki.

Cherokees came in 4 door Narrow Track, 2 door Narrow Track and 2 door Wide Track, so it's kinda hard to say what your axle is.

NT it'll be around 58" and WT around 62"

I'll put up a pic tonite of what a wide track (65") axle looks like under a samurai. Looks pretty good, actually.

ya,,,please do,,i have some yota axles in need of a serious rebuild,,,,,but i have 2d44s for the front,and 4 d44s i could use in the rear,,,,i have lockers ,gears and everything for a d44,,,,,,,and nothing for a yota axle.i have a d44 out of a 84 wagoneer,,,,but the chunk is on the drivers side. id really like to see those pics
