Im trying to plan for lift and front stretch on my 80. Im looking for around a 10" stretch rear and was thinking like 4 in the front with 42's. Going for as low a lift as possible, but will definately have 2 to 3" body lift for doubler and motor clearance. Thinking like 6" suspension lift.

Im concerned 4" front wont be enuf. Are you guys with the 80/800's having firewall clearance issues? If so what set up are you running?

I'm running about 3" total lift with 35's with almost the entire flare cut off my 800 and got some tire cutting primarily from the inner fender firewall seam inside the rear of the front wheel well.

I don't think you're going to get by with 4" of stretch...

stretched 9 in the front and 6 out back.rear qaurters are comp cut and the front is stock.8" roughly suspension and 3'' body on 42's.3'' body for same reason, clearence for 203/205,wanted completly flat belly

you must be way far from the firewall. Any guess how you would be a few inches back?

how do you like te 115" WB? what are your driveshaft lengths? way longer in front i would guess?

havn't measured for the shafts yet,but between the front push and adding the 203,i've gained alot.would have to say the front is almost the same as the rear in length, maybe a hair longer.as far as fire wall with the LT-1,got room.left just enough room to be comfortable, had to keep room upfront for the electric fan between waterpump and grill.and to answer the question on the 115",don't know.haven't wheeled this rig yet, still building.main reason for me on the stretch was only for approach and departure angles.wanted to be able to roll off something without dragging and nose up to whatever without plowing.we'll see how she does.

based on your pics you posted in my other thread, and looking at your specs, we should end up being real similar. Im running all ford drivetrain (small block, 5 speed, klune, 205, one tons and 42's) and a little different stretch going on, but nearly identical wheel base. We dont have the same kind of climbs you guys do (from pics) which is why im going 10 back and 4 to 6 front.

I went 3" forward when the 52" springs went on and I dont get near the firewall with my 37's on waggy 44's. Maybe I'm not as hardcore. BTW I'm at 106" and LOVE it.

yeah plug, gonna see what the 115 does for me and if i'm not happy with it,i'm gonna link the rear and readjust from there.i can go either way with the rear because of the high cut rear quarters.got any pics of your build?made some progress on my rig but now outta town for the holiday at the inlaws and getting nothing done.gonna be a good next week tho when i'm back, wife and kid free for a week.lots of shop time.lol
