Last night when I pulled the diff cover off part of what I think might be a pinion bearing was laying on the bottom of the housing.
A shop told me about the only way the pininon bearing could come out was if the internal casting part was cracked which would allow it to flex and throw the bearing, not sure yet but if this is the case I would need another 14-bolt - not good.
Any other thought or ideas ? I didn't get a chanch to look over everything real close because it is my daily driver but will on Saturday, and it drives fine. I'm hopeing that just the pinion bearing failed but you never know.

I've seen 14 bolts where the end pinion support bearing had dropped a few of the rollers out. It worked fine but if you looked at the bearing there were at least 4-5 rollers missing.

Yeah, thats what happened but in my case there is no bearing there anymore, I just hope that the bearing simply failed.
