if it is a dd go with an in cab but if you roll you will still have a lot of damage

Depends on the rig, and what you want to do with it. I'm in the process of building an exo but with an X brace behind the front seats in my 3rd gen 4runner. That way it'll protect me and other passengers (most important to me), and the body of the rig.

im going to try and do a indo/exo cage on mine and have a loop behind the drivers and passanger seats, maybe even the back seats as well so i will end up with a 4 point indo and just runn bars through the body to connect to the exo part
i have a tintop tracker thats gonna be riding on dana 44's with 36" IROKS on a custom built linked suspension someday it will be done!

Seen both, i personally prefer the exo cage. My buddy has an inner cage and he rolled it and it looks like shit now. Always better to look like a jungle gym and straight sheet metal in my opinion.

With an exo your gas milage will suffer if it is a DD.

maybe not, but if you ever drive at freeway speeds you will notice the wind drag above 40 mph. mine used to go 75+ before the exo and now it goes about 70, which is faster than i need to be going in it. oh, and when i say 70, i mean 0-70 in 6.8 minutes.:flipoff2:

I know, I know. Every time I work on it I don't have my camera! I have to say, your 4Runner is an inspiration! I origionally got the idea for the X brace from you. You wanna send me some pics of it?? I'll post up some pics and stuff soon.

Do not know about you, but I always like to get the best MPG I can get. The way my truck is built I only get 10 MPG tops.:flipoff2:

wow, good to know about the exo and MPG, i guess i never thought of it...

my personal opinion...go with a a few frame sliders, quarter pannel guards, a nice set of bumpers, and you are gtg if it is a DD

I went with a combo - exo in the back around the bed with a in-cab cage.
