and as I was told the 44 and 37's didnt hold up well for my West Coast terrain

so mayby if it lost some weight
and got boatsided

http://www.supermotors.net/getfile/672967/fullsize/picture-068.jpg
got me through a lot of runs

but the front dana 44 ball joints were going to be a problem
if anyone has ever blow a axle/ball joint you know what I mean here
axles were weak..for anything bigger than 35's

I dedcided to cut it up
http://www.supermotors.net/getfile/691398/fullsize/julliespics-007.jpg

and pony up for some one tons

http://www.supermotors.net/getfile/691472/fullsize/picture-176.jpg

I have to shorten up the track bar about 3/4" to get this centered

and thats pretty much where it sits..........

Cage
On the B hoop to C hoop roof braces rather then one center tube you could triangulate it to continue an X across the roof.

Ram
I mounted mine line that way on my first setup, My diff cover bolts would come loose and fall out. I always had trouble with that. Locktight them as best you can.

Rims
If you didnt do them all yet, you can set the outer rim on the studs with a spacer,I use left over spacers that came with my old shocks. With the outer rim spaced like 1/2in off the rim you can use that as a guide to get a cleaner cut. Its a toxic paint, when cutting grinding, or welding to it dont breath in the fumes. Most H1 rims have a paint on them to resist bio weapons.

If you ever plan to run water in your front tires Id do some 1/4in drill holes all the way around like ever 3in on the frotn and back side of the rim.
I didnt cut my mags that far down, you do need to cut the run flat but the little ribs that go acrossed the rim wont hurt your tire and make the insert stronger. It looks like you used a grider to flatten down the ribs, Magnisium in dust form is dangerious it can instany flash and will burn your and your eyes. I cut mine with a sawzall where it made large shavings, and did it out side not near where I was welding and cutting my rims. dust is bad.

Why did you make your door bar on the passenger side higher than the driver side?

oldjeep
02-26-2009, 09:29 AM
Might want to reconsider your seat mounts. Looks like the seats are still tied into whats left of the sheetmetal and the belts are tied into the cage.
