Here we go i rolled my XJ labor day weekend. yesterday i got a chance to get it on the lift and look it over good other than the obvious the floor in the back right is buckled as is the roof the nose from the windshield forward is tweaked to the left about 2 inches the front frame rails are bent the motor is twisted to the right the radiator fill neck is snapped the water pump is bad and the serpentine belt is wasted and one trans line is leaking. also this is driven on the street some and most be street legal our club requires it.

so what to do: start over thanks to good friends i now have a 1997 XJ Sport
its straight the rockers are rusty and will be fixed by boxing them. the rear hatch is rusty and will be replaced. i will be swapping over most of my lift both axles and the Tcase all skid plates and my roof rack visor. i plan to build new bumpers in a prerunner style it will have a full roll cage (even though it would not have helped us in the accident) i bought all the material for it before i found the new XJ most likely i will swap over my Leather interior. as for the paint i am thinking Blue but plans can change.

new progress i started with the rusty rocker panels. after cutting out most of the rust i made a set of new rockers and rocker skids in one. with most of the passenger side done i marked out for my bush whacker fender flares (if any one ask if they are rugged they survived the roll fine)
here are some pictures of the progress. more to come...

my passenger side rocker looked exactly like that. with the rusted piece in the rear by the tire. i boxed in my rockers this week also. i couldnt take it anymore it was bothering me. but i did not put support to the frame because i am going to reinforce the frame. but i built a whole new pinch seam.

I think you should do a chopped Comanche back so you can use one of these too:

As you can see it goes with the visor!
