a buddy of mine tried to find an adapter but no luck, then we tried splicing wires, it work but this was on an ice-chest radio, with a long ass whip from a CB an ice-chest radio can catch stations far and beyond, there was no science in splicing the wires just lucky that they worked, just take the old whip off and use the OE antena or buy one from a bone yard

Yes you can. I cut the plug off of my radio antenna wire and replaced it with a CB type plug. You'll need a coax cable stripper/ crimper to make the swap. It's a no-brainer to do.

I'll second deanz reply, but it works in reverse too (i.e: cutting a CB antenae wire to make it work for radio)

actually.. you can go to radioshack and buy the conversion adapters to go from the big fat plugs to the small car radio spikes.. you will lose your AM band for the most part unless you get a splitter to incorporate your existing antenna.. I've got mine hooked up to my scanner antenna and i pick up FM stations from hundreds of miles away now no prob. AM was a prob untill i got the splitter.. the CB antenna probably isnt as good of an idea as it's tweaked to perform in the 27-29Mhz range..
