Your real savings account shows an annual interest rate. We pay the interest rate *every day*. There is a big difference.

The .1% paid daily to nondonator savings accounts in our game is actually an annual interest rate of over 3,000%. Extremely generous, but not the ridiculous rates that we were paying before.

I know, I was just fucking around. It does suck, cause if it stayed at 7%, I would have 1 billion dollars before Halloween 2009. :smokin:

This really cooks my turkey
I donated to recieve 7%
Finally saved up $100,000 to open the Swiss account.
WTF 25,000 in the bank!
Whatever, I didn't see the $75,000 charge to open the account.

I could have spent the 100,000 on a danm gas can!:flipoff2:

So I see why the interest rates are changing how they are, but if things are going to change that drasticly can you make a holding account or simalar that doesn't pay any interest and only has a .5 or 1 % interest withdraw. I don't keep an account to make money i just keep one so everyone will leave my money alone. The greatest thing would be a no interest or fee account.

Keep in mind that this is a starting point for us to get the economy back on track. We may need to make adjustments. The whole idea of this is to drive the cost of glitter and black market items down. Once the economy has stabilized there will be no difference, you'll just have less money. You guys created the mess, we're just fixing it. I am Obama:flipoff2:

Edit: to explain a little more, there are other ways we can control the economy. If we need more cash it is not necessary that we raise the interest, we may just raise the amount paid by the jobs. This will benefit those that play and clock in every day. The whole idea is that those who put the time in are the ones that get ahead. If it relies on interest it gains no matter if you check in or not. If anyone would like their Swiss account terminated message me in game and I will terminate it and return your money. Real or game.

 My thoughts too. I have enough money that I'm not too worried about it, but the only reason I did pony up the extra money was for the interest.

Papee has made a very generous offer for those that feel they got screwed. I don't like it, but it is part of the game. I ain't bitching, cause this game gives me something to do while I sit at work and get paid for doing nothing.

I say that this blows. It's not fair for those who started earlier to get big interest and those of us that just joined are now always going to be behind. Why don't you have a sliding scale interest rate depending on how much money you have in there. Or, better yet place a cap on interest paid.

Most of the ones with the large amounts of cash and glitter are those that stuck with us through the beta and testing of the game and have played since we started the testing process.

Myself I don't see the interest being a big deal once we get this evened out. As I said in my last post, most likely the adjustment will be done by adding more pay to the jobs. It's basically the same thing, You are getting more wealth either way. The only catch is that you have to play the game and clock in every day to get the money. This rewards people who are playing the game on a regular basis.

Edit: Also in changing this we dropped the withdraw fee for donators.

Is it a glitch, or is there a reason why the interest rate dropped but I still get charged 3% to pull funds from my swiss account?

The cash has grown, but so has black and glitter markets.
