well i got a rough country lift for a yj...it was for a past project and not doing it anymore.. so im just going to use it cause i will never get my money back out of it... i did do research and a lot of it... for the leaf conversion on xj's... i know i heard it all "why would you do leafs on a cherokee it has coils already?" my jeep so i will do as i wish thank you very much... well anyways... no one that i could find used the same kit as me or atleast the same leafs.. it is i was just wondering if they worked good... or not... would it work with stock sized shackles... or would i have to run a bigger shackle either front or back to make it level or anything... thanks

I have leaves on the front of my XJ, they are longer then YJ leaves and I like them better. Longer leaves can offer better flex and combat wrap. That said, my friend has YJ leaves on the front of his XJ and it works. You seem to have your mind made up, i hope your handy with a welder.

Also, your asking if it will work with your setup, well what setup do you have, what lift amount are your YJ springs providing? I hope they are military wrapped.

How long have you been on pirate for:shaking:

it is a 4" lift kit fron rough country for a yj.. i was just wondering if i would have to change anything like steering and what not.. i am trying to do it as cheap as i can since it is my dd not really going for flex and what not... if i do take it off road all we have around here is mudd so.. flexing 40's is not my coil at all.. thanks

Would swapping to a leaf spring style front axle 31in on center be important enough to make the "what not" list?:flipoff2:

Drag link, high stear arm are other "what not" items.

not a weekend type swap.
