I'm over here from the Zuk section for a little info and advice...
I have a neighbor who has had an "old Toyota wagon" sitting in his back yard forever.
Well...long story long...I finally got in touch with the owner, he says it's a 1964 model, and he may want to sell. I don't know much about these, but I've really taken a shine to this thing. I've searched here a little and on the net in general, but can't find any solid pricing for this thing. (It's in pretty decent shape, all original) Or much info in general on one this old. any links or points in the right direction would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Edit: I'll try and get a pic up this afternoon.
Edit:Thanks to Rat70FJ...it's an FJ45LV.

If it's a '64, it'll be an FJ45LV. Does it look like an FJ40 from the front? If it's a 55, it'd be much later, '68 or '69 I think. The LVs have become pretty desirable lately. They have a lot of rust issues normally, If it's not rusty, it'd be worth a good amount of money to the right party. Search 45LV on this board, or try the 45 section on ih8mud.com. Lots of info out there.

FJ45's are pretty rare. How much do you want for it?

Dam. From a distance it looks pretty nice. Do you see rust anywhere? I think that s the key question. Oh... and does it run?
there are going to be some jealous people :)

Rust is the defining factor in figuring out what an LV is worth. Specifically the quarters and the floors. Very few original parts are available compared to most other Toyota Land Cruisers. This one looks good. I'd pay up to $5K for it depending on the rust.

from the pics that looks pretty good; the rear bumper seems to be there which is hard to come by.
try to get a closer look at it. check the rear floors for rust along with the roof and around the rear fender wells.
take lots of pics if you can and post them. also, try to get the vin # for the "fj45 registry".
judging by the way it looks, i'd say $3-5k is a reasonable "value" to assign to it.
nice find!

Nice find. If you do buy it, there is a specific section on IH8MUD for FJ45s
