Sat: I was suposed to go wheeling with Binderbasher but he didn't get off till 2PMish and I didnt want to night wheel with my Scout yet. So I worked on more Scout stuff all day and hit level 72 on WOW :flipoff2:.

Sun: Hit level 73 on WOW :flipoff2:. Then I cut more fender and wheeled until I hit more fender ...cut more...wheeled...hit ...now I have to cut even more. Worked on my fuel supply a bit and got a slight angle improvement out of my carb. Still playing with my clutch binding crap. I really think my built 345 is going in there soon :smokin:

Turkey day--Short and sweet dinner couple hours of visiting. Picked up a buddy went and got his rig the two of us headed to Clayton, Ok to wheel.

Fri-- Wheeled some cool shit with a group of 3 buggies, 1 truggy and me in the what's left of a full bodied rig. Some of the best wheeling I've seen in a few years. Ripped rear track bar 60% loose from frame (luckily back at parking lot when it was noticed) Fixed it that night, drank, visited.

Sat-- Wheeled some even cooler tuff as hell shit with same group. Ended up with some custom body work to rear quarter... Guess now I get to cut it off....

Sun-- Headed home and fought the 30+ mph winds all the way home. Had the pop up slide in camper in truck and Scout on car hauler.

Sun. worked around the house -- realized I ordered the wrong borgeson joint for my power steering project. DOH!

Dan,

So, Lukas didn't go to Baja this year? I saw his wife and his chase truck at Costco on Friday, so i guessed not. Also, did Berne build himself a chase rack in his Dodge. I thought I saw him coming home the other day on my way to work.

As for me..............................................no thing:(:(

nothing scout related. had thanksgiving dinner with the girlfriend thursday

went to pagosa springs friday for family dinner. closed the bar friday night. my brother in law broke the sector shaft off his 06 dodge that night turning out of the bar to go home. lucky bastid drove from albuquerque to colorado with my sister, niece and brother in the truck with only half of the shaft still hanging on and not knowing it. found that out after looking at the broken shaft and half of it had rust and half was shiny like a recent break. makes you think how lucky you are sometimes.

me and my brother tore down the steering box while he took my truck to durango to get a new box. swapped it. went inside to drink some more. cosed the bar saturday night and drove home sunday afternoon.

that made me think Id better check my steering just in case. found one steering box bolt loose and nails in both front tires.

Fuck...

Had my Fiance's family over for T-day. Had my boys as well...there was like 12 people in our little house which made for tight times.

My laptop died last week so I spent the entire end of last week and into the weekend doing a complete re-install of EVERYTHING...:shaking:

I was able to recover about 98% of the stuff on the hard-drive though. Not sure what the other 2% is but the file partition size is definitely different...

My garage is clean now...did all of that on Sunday...

I also have been working on video and photos...not fast as I used to be though at getting things done. My plate is much fuller than it used to be...with my band project, kids, fiance, house, Scout, all pulling for time...

I was able to recover these...this is from when CHISCOUTER and I had a lovely dinner together :grinpimp:, also from the trade show I was at...

Also did this on Friday afternoon...we needed a couple of photos for some promotional items that my music project is working on. So the guitarist and I did some posing.

We now have our CD's for sale (while shopping for some label support) and are trying to get some press. You can't get press with just a band logo...

I think the hose coiled around the pressure guage on the fire supression system is a code violation.

You sure thats a supression system? Why is it copper tube? All the stuff I worked with in restaurants and commercial buildings was all black iron.

HoS, you need a new photographer. Pretty sure you did those yourself and it shows.

Was bored and had some time on my hands so decided to see just how well the furnace works in my camper. I haven't used it in the winter yet and wanted to know what to expect when the time comes that I do use in the winter. So, I went and cranked up the top and fired up the furnace. I hung out in the camper long enough for the furnace to warm it up (t-stat set on 60°) and cylce off. Then hung out a while longer to see how long it would take before the furnance cylced back on.

It works pretty damn good considering the camper is a pop-up. The upper bunk was pretty comfortable since the warm air rises and the dinette bunk is comfortable too since the furnance blow out right at that level. As expected, if you sit on the benches with your feet on the floor, your feet get a little cold. I thought about fabbing up a plenum and ducting the air down to the floor level, but that's probably just a waste of time.

Ah shit, instead of spending $300 for new tires on the DD.. I bought some Herculiner for the scout :shaking:

So I started preping the scout floor and side panels. Removed the gas pedal, center trans cover, klune controls, fuel selector, misc wiring, etc.

WOW... I'm actually working on the scout again :flipoff2:

Yup, pretty much a stock floor plan (scout80) :D Except the orig seat brackets are cut out, and the firewall was slightly modified to fit the headers on each side.

Just some camper-heater anecdote.. our little pop-up "tent" trailer has a heater in it, too. 12k btu? This thing really is a big tent - not like a 3/4 hard-sided pop-up slide-in.

We've used it three times IIRC. Two weekends in the snow and high mountains, one week in the middle of summer in the heat.

Used a bottle of propane each weekend in the snow after two nights.

Kept it warmer inside, of course, but we never opted for "toasty".

Anyhow.. your bit about the cold feet.. well, the furnace is located next to the sink/stove so the only real "open floor space" spot in the whole thing.

Also, not far from the "porta-potty storage" cabinet.

Get your business done quick - half of you will be frozen, while the other half - in the direct blast of the furnace - will be "well done".. great fun. :D

As to the weekend.. I worked on the GN when I had some time to work on stuff.

Confirmed I can put a truck tire/wheel on the trailer and not rub (in case I need it for a spare). Soldered the passenger side brake wires up, but haven't finished the driver's side (and the new power lead to the brakes).

http://www.tmcom.com/~tsm1/gallery2/d/49605-5/11-28-08_1628.jpg

Stopped and built ramp mounts under the rear deck first. 4 pieces of 3x2x1/8" angle hung under the rear deck by some 1x1x1/8 angle to make two "U" channels ~14" spread.

Ramps are 5' long and slide into the channels, putting the front of the ramp either behind or above the axle tube, depending on how far up I decide to pin them - still need to drill the ramp for a pin. Ramps are made of 3" channel on the sides and angle over the middle, so the less they need to be moved about, the better.

Then, after the nice balmy weekend, woke up Monday..

http://www.tmcom.com/~tsm1/gallery2/d/49608-5/12-03-08_0814.jpg

Haven't decided yet if I'm just going to throw the tires back on and move it out of the way, or actually finish wiring the brakes up.. I'd like to call it "done for now" and have it "useable" when I move it, but it's not warm outside. :D

Still need to mount my under-deck spare tire winch and think about some toolboxes / storage, too.

Of course, I still need to shovel out my trail rig, get it into the shop (that's blocked) and straighten the A-pillar out and put doors back on it..
