Not sure if this is the right spot or not, but I got a question on some Dodge wheels off an 04 2500 4x4 Dodge. I know they are 17's and the guy I am buying them from says they are steel with a chrome overlay. He measured the backspacing at 6". My question is does anybody know how wide these wheels would have been and are they really a steel wheel?

You could get both steel and aluminum wheels with the chrome overlay. I don't know the exact width but you can run 315's on them with out a problem.

The stock wheels on a SLT would have been steel with the chrom-clad overlay... I had them on my 04. At first they just look like a chrome wheel... But upon close examination, you can tell. I ~think~ they are 17x7... The optional wheels are the forged aluminum @ 17x8.
