: 305 not 350

I have my motor what i thought was a 350 all torn apart so decided to run the numbers to find out the year, what i found out was that my motor was actully a 305. Is it worth it to rebuild it. Will it hadle mud and trails good. Thanks

you will be happier with a 350. cores go for $100 bux in the yards around here.

I have a complete 350 and complete 400 small block, both were runners needing rebuild.

350 is the only way to go. You can find them real cheap on craigslist if they need rebuilding. I wouldn't rebuild a 305, its just too easy to get a 350 and they have more power, and cost the same to build. my .o2

x2 on that, why cheat yourself out the extra power for the same amount of $.
