Those are actually hood pins flipped upside down with the clips underneath the bars so I would'nt break them off. In the pic I just had'nt cut the stud off the top.

Yeah, figured it would'nt get in the way there. My truggy was loud as hell and on this rig I wanted the quietest muffler I could find.

The hood wrapping around the air filter looks great. I may need to slightly copy that. I have always wanted a near flat hood. Just bought a JD2 so I can finally bend tube.

Yes, but just barely.
