Ok I havent gotten the truck yet but the wife wants to level the truck when we get it.

I looked at a couple of kits,

Theres the Procrap lift that provides shocks, Front springs, hardware etc..

Then theres the FAB tech kit that uses spring hangers that bolt onto the factory spring hangers.

Any one done this?>

just go to the ford house and get a set of f450 front springs and change them out with yours. its alot cheaper than any of the aftermarket vendors. i helped my friend put a aftermarket set on his f250 then he helped his friend put on the f 450 springs and said they worked great and were a bunch cheaper. mike

or get a set of teh "X" spring's it's part of the snowplow package, it will make the nose sit level, also you can do an add a leaf to teh front to level it out

Couple friends did the ProComp kit - one's running 315/75's & the other 305/85's, both on stock rims.

Try to find the kit that comes with the bumper spacers. They help clear the taller tires.

Or you can go the other way and tell Ford to put the shorter blocks in the back.

I helped a friend from work install a Superlift level kit on his '01 Crew Cab SD w/SRW. It uses the new brackets to drop the front spring mounting points. It included the bumper spacers and he runs 35x12.5x16.5 BFG A/T on his. He says the tires rub at full steer while under compression. All in all, the kit was fairly simple to install.

I wasnt sure Dave thanks. You know us people stuck in the early 80s with our tow rigs.

The one kit that I saw did come with a set of brackets that spaced the front bumper out (forward) about an inch. We were not really sure of the purpose, other than to help get some clearance for the tires in a turn. Maybe some of the new kits use these spacers and others do not. This was a Superlift kit on a 2001 SD

Another option would be air bags. (yes I know we are talking about the front)
