The numbers have varied quite a bit. Im planning once the work gets done for KOH to set ours on a set of race scales, (one scale on each corner) and see real weights. The trick is we typically weigh on scales calibrated for 80k pounds, and I think the scales can be way off for the lower weights. FWIW, ours came in ~2700.

3200 more or less loaded for trailing. I do have a ton of tools and spares on my truck.

My Formula Four weighs about 3260 with me in it.
D Side front, 910lbs
P Side front, 830lbs
1740lbs in the front
D Side rear, 780lbs
P Side rear, 740lbs
1520lbs in the rear

Since I weighed it last I took one of the propane tanks out and put in a tool/spare parts box.

#57 weighed in at 2541 but that was before the shocks. What I thought was cooler is that it's 56.9 front 43.1 rear. I filled the tank and threw a 33 in the back for weight and it was 53.7f /46.3r. All was taken on a set of Intercomp pad scales.

It still needs stuff...boatsides from the frame to the chassis...a roof...and trail goodies like a highlift and a cooler full of beer:D

On some private truck scales...I'm doubting their accuracy, my truck came in at 3500lbs, with 16 gallons of fuel (filled the cell right up so I'd know how much fuel there was) and the front tires filled with water just over the top of the hubs.

My truck is pretty bare bones with no material used in the build being over 1/4" and alot of it being 1/8" when I rebuilt last season. I also have an aluminum skid with 3/8" HDMVXABC super plastic stuff on it...all real light stuff so i'm thinking either the scale I went to was not accurate or a lot of peoples weights are a off.

Anyone here actually use some race car scales?

S/N 001 weighed in at 2900 lbs ready for a comp on a certified scale. It was built light, minimal floor, .040 aluminum skins, interior tubing was all .095. The only thing we could have saved more weight was an aluminum radiator and fuel cell, might have saved 50 lbs.

Are those Robby Gordon wheels?:grinpimp:

Do you like them?

How much do they weigh compared to some regular steelies? (see its not a hijack :flipoff2:)

I haven't seen a current pic of that rig posted for at least 3 years?
The woman in the 2nd pic is Camo's exwife....I'm assuming she still has it, but hasn't had it out to any comps??

I believe it was sold, maybe more than once, guessing though.

As for the weights, as I mentioned, I think a lot, including our, weights are off, due to using scales calibrated for much different weights. Like weighing an elephant on a bathroom scale, its just not going to work right!

most of the ftoys weigh really close. mine, brians, the wrights, ftoy #001 all have minimal stuff on them and the exact same drivetrain. so we are all within 100 of each other i am sure.

#38 is 3416 weighed on race scales July 5th-09 straight from the Reno win no ballast in the tires.
Surprised - it's heavier than my Pro Mod car with a cast iron V8 and one tons with 39s on steelies.

I know, I know, NOT an FTOY, but . . .

22RP,duals, FJ80 front, T100 rear, 40"s on steel beadlocks, AL upper links, full tank of propane, tow strap, small tool bag, and mud on the tires= 2,780 on CAT certified scales

FWIW, the toy frame rails, cut to 153", and the stock front xmember weighs 150#. Easily 120# could be taken out if the frame was replaced with 1.5 or 1.75.

Cary said the GotPropane buggy weighs 2,900 after the 9" axle swap and the auto got put in. Still has the 22RP-T. On 42" IROKs too.

Ive got some aluminum wheels and could get lighter lower links, but I dont plan on giving up the storage space in the rear.

The buggy just seems to "float" over obstacles as compared to riding in my truck. "Float" is the best way I can describe the new light weightness :D I love it!!

This is true. 2908lbs with everything but myself in there. 9's front and rear,c4 auto grafted to the toy motor, atlas 4spd. Minimal everything else. The only thing I would change might be a higher stall speed converter to get the rpm's higher for the turbo bump:grinpimp:
It does weigh an extra 400lbs in the front with the water in the front tires.
