IMO, the best and longest lasting....I junked many others before upgrading to their stuff.

They have the best price I have been able to find.

I would not recomend buying anything from avalanche because I ordered items back in may and 2 weeks ago I canceled the order due to been told 4 times that it had already shipped

Thanks for all the replies.

Looks like QA1 has the beef I want. Avalanche has the nice tube adapters, does anyone else have these? I'll order rod ends, jam nuts and tube adapters from someone, then I should be able to source some tubing locally.

Last trip out, at Haspin Acres in IN, one of my heim joints stripped the threads from the tie rod. So, I welded it so the weekend wouldn't be over early. Then the next day the heim joint broke open, leaving me with no steering while coming down "Devil's Back", supposedly the nastiest hill there. I guess the heim joint didn't care for the heat from the welder. We rigged the right side from turning (with the winch cable), and went back up the hill, since there was no better way out, and took it back to camp and welded it back up with some added reinforcement. Anyway, we got to finish the weekend, but I want it right before heading out again. The QA1's look like they have much more beef around the center ball vs what I had. :cool2: The hydraulic steering is great, but the whole system has to be tough enough to handle the extra force.

Is the 3/4" size good for a tie rod application with hydraulic steering? I'm guessing so since I only see the tube adapters in this size.
