A friend was cleaning out his father in law's garage and found a box of misc. brass. He gave it to me and said, "See if there is anything in there you can use".

There were some definite odd balls.
The first was a 22 Jet. I had heard of them (probably seen them in reloading manuals or a magazine article).
Turns out it was a pistol cartridge that looks similar to a 22 hornet.

The other was a 22 HP. I had never heard of this one until I looked it up this morning. It looks like a 30-30 brass necked down to 22 caliber. Aparently I was pretty close.

There was also one 300 HH mag that I gave to a co-worker (that is what he uses for deer).

Some 30 carbine, 35 remington, 32 S&W, and and some other military brass that I am not sure what it is (probably 303 British).

There were some other odd balls in the lot.
Anyone know someone that could use some of these?

I'll try to get a complete list of what I am not keeping tonight and post.

went to a garage sale yesterday and the guy had about 15 boxes of .22Jet for $10/box (50 rounds).

also had some of that 32S&W, 30 carbine, 35 remington and some other old calibers.

nice thing is I got 8 boxes of new .45colt brass for $5 per box.

Damn, I've been looking for it (cheaper than the new stuff, that is).

Never seen a 22HP. Was it a wildcat cartridge?

that stuff is all over gunbroker at $75/box, but hardly any of it sells. :(

just checked my notes, the other odd (to me at least) round was .256 Winchester Magnum. checking gunbroker, that stuff seems to move pretty well. I might go pick that stuff up tomorrow.



Nissancrawler: you want the 5mm? He probably had 100 rounds (was loose in baggies) that I could probably get you for $20+shipping or so.

It is obscure, but not that obscure.
