I am getting my balls busted by everyone in my club... I need to pull the trigger eventually and I am looking at upgrading my rear end... I am probably going to end up with an exploder rear end... basically, I have a problem spending money, I over think shit WAYYYY too much = J-roc indecisive bastard.

Now if I buy parts for something I don't have... it's going to make me buy that part... stupid concept but I'm fucked in the head :D:laughing:

Anyway, R&P shopping, I did some digging, not a lot of people like yukon axle shafts... does that mean I should stay away from the R&P's they offer? I have been eying up Superior on 4wd.com and 4x4groupbuy.com

I am going to jump ahead to 4.56's, who would you recommend for best manufacturers warranty? Also, master install kits... I am going to get each for the front and rear... is one kit better then the other depending on the supplier? I would prefer a kit that comes with premium bearings (i.e. Timken, SKF etc)

Spanks! If XJ_Ranger responds first I'll mail you a cookie :flipoff2:

That happened to me after Beer & Wing Night last monday... :(

I like the Yukon shafts in my 60. I'd run their gears.

Manufacture's warrenties suck anyhow. It'll take them forever to prove that it was your fault when you set them up (or whoever set them up's fault) and not a defect in the R/P's. Unless its a guraunteed, if you break it we replace it sorta warrenty, don't worry about them. I've always run Yukon gears and have never had an issue with them. They're fairly quick to set up which helps. Any master set up kit will do, but I always prefer ones with Timken bearings.

I've been running Yukon gears & install kits (F&R) and shafts & super joints (F) for 3 years and have had absolutely no issues.

I just did ring and pinions on my dana 60's and the Yukon master kits had timken bearings and races.

Haven't ran my gears yet, but you know how builds go nice an slow lol!

I've installed a number of yukon gears and think their install kits are great (they include timkin bearing).

I have also warrantied two set of yukon gears. Neither one was the gears fault but they still warrantied the gears w/out problem. One set the inner pinion bearing failed and the other, my lockrite broke in half got kicked out the carrier and got caught up in the r&p causing the failure in the gears. But both times...I was given a new set.

I haven't personally run their shafts before but I wouldn't have issues running them. Not taking away from the other great shaft companies out there b/c there are many.
