: ford front shock towers

is there any pros and cons to doing this?i know it is reasonably cheap way to do it, but has anybody had problems doing this if so like what?

Nope, no problems, but they are welded the shit out of! No bracing over the top of the engine either. If you have a 3" body lift you are good to go in the firewall area. However, without one, you are going to be cutting!!

3 inch body i do have, and it also looks as if i dont need to trim much in the wheel well either!

I used them. From www.fordpartsonline.com ... Part # E5TZ-18183-A was $8.74 each.

Weld them up about 2 inches higher than mine are - basically as hgih up as you can. Mine need moved. All you really need is a nice beefy gusset going from the back of the shock tower to the top of the frame behind the shock tower.
