My buddy has a 96 Toyota T-100 4x4 pickup and his leaf springs in the back make quit a noise when going over a washboard surface. I noticed that the bottom spring is mis-aligned on both sides and that appears to be making the noise. There are 3 springs I belive counting the bottom twisted one. Is there supposed to be a holder around these or is this a common problem. Thanks for any advice

sounds like someone needs to tighten the ubolts, hit them with 100-120lbs, use a hammer to tap the spring stright 1st. mine losen up to 80-90 lbs every 4x trip, bet he has never touched his....

it is typical for the bottom one to flare out like that on a T100. mine did it even at the proper torque. there are no holders.
