I looking at a government auction. The 5/4 ton pickups are going for decent $$$, but the Blazers "carryall" don't even have a opening bid yet. Since they are rated at 5/4 ton as well, I would guess these have the Dana 60s too? Is there something I'm missing? Maybe they don't have the 4.56 gears?
I don't see why they don't go for more cash. I really only want a few trucks for parts. Mostly the 60's and part out the rest of the truck.

But the description says they are 5/4 ton weight rating. Maybe there was a typo on a few of them.

The military has a jacked up weight sysem, the same way a 1008 CUCV truck is just a SRW 1 ton. It'll have the 60/14, 6.2, th400, np208. The 1028 dually is a DRW 60/hd70, 6.2, th400, np205. If I were buying one I'd look for either an ambulance or "contact" (tool) truck. They're the some as a 1008 only they have the 205 and a hurst PTO set up to run a generator. That's really all I can remember right of hand.
A 1009 blazer is a just a 1/4 ton blazer, F/R 10bolts w/3.08 , 6.2, th350, np208, nothing really special about them. Search around here, it's been discussed a few times.

Only 1 ad said 5/4 ton, all the rest say 1/4 ton. All of the CUCV are rated 5/4 ton which will be dana 60s. They are selling for about $1100 each with a few days remaining in the auction. I was hoping to bring a few of these home next weekend.
