: Shackle Reversal

All,

I'm considering doing a shackle reversal on my EB and going with some F150 springs.

I was running that idea by my fellow EB'ers and they are all running Nationals and swear by them.

The problem is I don't want to have to worry about them sagging and I don't want to spend $500 to replace them.

Some have said that the rear tends to bounce a lot more when you do the reversal. There are also issues with the springs dragging across every rock that I go over.

Comments? Thanks!!!

the short of it, The f-150s flex just as good as a nationl and cost less to replace (almost the same starting price if you buy the brackets for the f-150, but you can pick up more at pick and pull)
They do give up more axle wrap then the nationals because they are softer and less leafs

how much longer are they?? i fI am correct they are longer right? so that would be one way to move the axle back?? and just make the new rear hanger? I guess this is what you're sayin tho Iron bender

That's right. Just move the rear hanger and you get your ass moved back like 2 or 3 inches. Can't beat that!

does it add any lift or is it stock height?????? and are they the same width as the bronco leafs?

You do get lift from it (how much depends on the shackles you use). And some of the leaves are the same width, others are wider.
