Chad H 08-15-2002, 10:27 AM I got a used 271 Transfer case today . It was a recalled item out of a 99 f350. I put new shift forks tabs in it, which is the reason for the recall. It wouldnt stay in gear. Anyway, I would like to run this behind my 460/C6 combo, has anyone tried this? Is there an apapter? Seems like a stout case... I saw one at the 4X4 swap meet in Puyallup last year for sale, but too much $$$. Anyhow doesn't it use the same bolt pattern as the older Ford t-cases? If not the t-case adapter off an E4OD (or 4R100 or whatever they call it these days <might> bolt up to the back of a C-6 since they are based on the same design. strong_like_tractor 08-15-2002, 02:14 PM It is my understanding that all fullsize ford trannies use the same 31 spline output and same round bolt pattern.
