I need to get a speed sensor to my toy tcase, anyone done it? The ford one won't plug in like it did in the car it came out of.

The speedo shop has some pulse sendors they said but they need to know how many pulses per revolution the ford uses. Anyone know? 88' california mass air mustang 5.0 engine

thx

Take the sensor to him and ask him if he knows how to measure it. or just ask the guys on the fordnatics or 50natics lists. btw the site for the lists are http://www.chucko.com/fordnatics i think.

Keep us posted when you figure it out.

I know for my swap, a Mazda into a Suzuki, I use the speed-o based VSS.

looks like 8 pulses/rev - now getting it into a toyota case is another story. I'll call my local speedo shop right now and see what he can do :)

Call Autometer. they work with a company that will make you any speed sensor that you need (ford unit with metric threads).

the guy at the local place says you can put american threads to metric just not the other way around. I'll find out tomorrow when I pick it tomorrow.
