I'm not sure if this is the right section to put this in but if it's not please move mod. I am wanting to paint my yj and was curious as to approx. how much paint I'd need. It's white right now, I want to go to kinda a blue/gray or gunmetal color, I haven't totally decided but it'll be somewhere in that range. I'll probably use the paint from NAPA, Martin-Senour, is that fairly good paint? Just trying to get some opinions now. thanks.

when I painted my yj I used a gallon of od green and got 3-4 coats on everything, although I didn't paint the floor because I put bedliner there.

cool, that's the answer I was looking for, i just wanted to make sure that 1 gallon would be enough so I didn't have to use a ton of reducer to get multiple coats. Thanks!

Yep I used a gallon on my CJ and didn't use hardly any reducer. I would have had some left over had I not screwed up somethings and had to redo them... oops. Although for never touching a paint gun before it turned out quite well. I used the single stage Omni gloss black. Omni is the lower end line of PPG.
