Im looking into putting a 91 Lexus LS400 motor into my 85 4runner. I what to know what it would take to do a swap like that? Has anybody done it? If so where can I find this info at? Thanks for any info you guys can give me..

It's more than possible to be done... would you really want to? Probably not. Ever try and replace a starter for one of them motors (http://www.lextreme.com/starter.html)?

Don't get me wrong, it's a strong motor (260hp/260ft-lbs)... but when you need to do any repairs, it's a major PITA.

my dad and i are in the process of putting a 1uzfe sc400 engine same as a ls 400 into his 92 4 runner i will keep you posted he got the engine and trans ecu wire harness cats and o2 sensors for 2000 grand the engine has 30 k on it cant wait to drive it

Have you considered dropping in a Vortec 5 cyl. they come in a Chevy Colorado and an H-3 Hummer.
There is a guy in my area that has a kit for a great price. Wiring harness and everything. He has one in a 1987 4-runner and it runs great.
Brett (Tool Box Guy) is putting one in his new chassis.

No, it's not a secret. Brett just hasn't gotten to the point on his build to advertise about it cause he is still building the base chassis. Once he gets to the drive train. You will hear more about it.

You should also check in the Toyota Pickup and 4Runner forum and the Toyota Tacoma forum. I don't know if you'll find a lot of people who have put this motor in FToys??
