Trying to loosen some bolts in the water pump and I don't want to bust em off, any suggestions?

If its a steel bolt going into aluminum, its not rusted its electrolisis that makes it stick. The aluminum will give up before the bolt.

it can still rust, the bolt alone in water will rust

I am askin for a friend but I did remove a bolt from my water pump that was nearly gone before, rust..

spray it with PB Blaster and let it sit over night, then repeatedly tap on the head with a hammer. hopefully, this will break-loose the corrosion.

Then get ready with your "ez outs" and tap set.

Overnight with penetrating oil.

A SHARP rap with a hammer on the bolt head, or stud. I use a punch on the stud to prevent wacking the threads with the hammer.

TORCH: Heat just the bolt (or stud). Let it cool.

Worst is a thermostat housing with about 4" of steel studs down the aluminum. Always a bear to get that thermostat housing off. Always wipe everything with lots of anti-sieze before putting it back together.

Hey ciocc77 is right! I love a small round tip dremel tool. I will dimpel the broken off bolt with the dremel tool, so the drill starts
in nice an straight. LEFT HAND twist drills (from the Snap On) guy will work wonders. Oddly enough my DULL drill bit works the best as the heat and vibration will loosen the broken of part, to the point about 50% of them spin back out of the hole! TIG torch comes in handy to welding up the casting to redrill and tap, too. :D
