Here's an explanation of what I have and what I want to do before the questions.I have a 96 351w truck motor,it has about 10k miles on it and has been in a few rigs, the long block is completely stock,I run an edelbrock 351HO replacement intake with propane and a DUI distributor.I am looking to get back some of the power lost from the pane and if possible gain a little more,I was thinking I would break the motor down, bore it,and bump the compression to 11 to 1,replace the fasteners with ARP,do a home port and polish on the heads, and recurve the dist.and add a rev. limiter. My questions are, would I see much of a difference if I switched to roller rockers with a different ratio and would piston clearance be an issue?Any recommendations for a piston choice?Any other suggestions while I am in there to help with reliability or slight power increases that would be relatively inexpensive as I am doing a full C6 build at the same time? Finally, what would be the most informative read for my SBF considering it is a later model. Thanks for any help.

not sure if this really answers the question but I am in the process of doing this to my 75 bronco myself....why not bore it and stroke it.....you can gain much more power for not alot more than what you are wanting to do....all you need is a stroker crank 3.85 inch from summit about $300 and stock length 351 connecting rods, with 302 pistons then you have a 393 stroker..that will gain you tremendous power for your dollar....try to use dished pistons to help with compression though....my 2 cents

That's what I did. Scat crank and KB Hyper 302 pistons (364 I think.)
Buying a new crank may cost a little more than having your old one turned, but 302 pistons are cheaper than 351 pistons so it's not as expensive as you might think. To me it was a no-brainer.
