Does snap-on warranty the ball bearing slides on the toolboxes?
I recieved a KRL-1003 from goverment auction for $1300 but it turns out two right hand rails are broken on two drawers. There is no rust on the rails but I did have to hack saw the inner rail in half to get them out. Dam that little screw at the end of the rail.

As far as I know you need your dealer to do any warranty claim .
My dealer retired a few years ago it seems the new one has no time because of all the fieldwork I do.
Maybe things changed if worse comes to worse just order the parts from Snapon and fix it.:grinpimp:

That was the plan if they wont warranty it but it sucks that its two right hand side rails so I will have to order two kits instead of just one.

For some reason I thought that snapon sells a different line of stuff to the military, and outside of the military they will not warranty it?

I've heard that too, from the snapon man.

Snap-On does not have to grant a warranty claim for anything that you did not buy directly from Snap-On. in this case, it will be completely dependent upon the relationship you have with your Snap_on man. Also, be aware that the only thing from Snap_on with the unconditional guarantee is hand tools, things like tool boxes, IIRC have a different warranty period and terms.
I learned a lot when ocnsidering the purchase of a Snap_on frnachise. If the economy comes back in my lifetime, I might still do it.

Snap on tool boxes have a lifetime warranty, if you buy them from snap on. I think the warranty transfers, you'd have to check with your local guy. As it as been said snap on has a whole different set of rules for warranty on tools the sell to the government.

Well talking with a snap-on phone rep I should be able to get new rails but who knows till I talk to the dealer in town. Just waiting on a call back from the dealer.
On a side note
For some reason 4 right hand side rails failed on the small drawers on the right side. But there is other drawers on the right side that work just fine. 2 of them I know for sure had bearing failures but the exact cause I have no clue. So if he doesnt cover them then I need to buy 4 bearing kits at 58 dollars a pop to replace them. And snap-on doesnt just sell the right hand rails.

If he seems a little resistant try buttering him up by buying something(s) off his truck. Remember these guys don't work directly for snap on they are independent contractors who only make money if they sell tools.

You might also look to see if the rails are made by someone else. My MAC box has Accuride rails, now to find the right ones!

Just talked to the local snap on dealer and the rails have been order under warranty. That saves me 240 dollars but I also order the locks. I told him I would meet him in town somewhere instead of him driving across town for something small.
