IM looking into some early bronco lift springs for the front of my jeep. Can anyone tell me some Spring rates for various coils? I'm wanting something in the 300+ lb per inch range. Ive been looking at some full size coils that are 300lbs per inch.

The flexy EB springs, like WH Rockcrawlers, BC Broncos, and Cage tend to be in the 170 lb/in range. The Duff variable rate start at 210 and go to 370.

I have the Duff in mine. I think they are too stiff, even for street use. Guys using coilovers tend to end up in the 170-200 range.

The old school Rancho and Superlift springs were usually the same as the ones for the fullsize Broncos, about 350-400. Didn't work too well in the lighter EB, unless you enjoy rattling your teeth out.

Not sure about the newer "Soft Ride" springs. I guess the name means they actually move instead of being rigid like the old ones.

Why so stiff? I thought regular jeep coils were normally in the low 200 range.

Because i'm running 8" Jeep cherokee skyjacker coils now, and they cant hold the weight up and will be waaay soft. I mean ive added a front clip, big block chevy engine, lots of other crap, the weight is too much for the cherokee springs. Thats why i was considering some little bronco springs.

And yeah, stock cherokee springs are around 150 lb/in. My 8" skyjacker coils i have now are like 230 lb/in i think.

I have the 7" skyjackers and my 5k lb ranger weighed them back down from 21" to 17.5". They ride and flex well, but I'm gonna try the 9" Superflex coils and see how they work when i get the spare cash.
