A 15+ year old welder that would slot in between the current Lincoln PowerMig 215 ($1500) and the current Lincoln PowerMig 255 ($2000) is not worth $1000, let alone $2000.
You would not happen to have any involvement with the Craigslist add?

I had that Lincoln and loved it until it got stolen and I replaced it with a powermig 255 which welds much better. IIRC the sp250 cost around 1200 to 1500 new in 1996. That keypad is way cool though and I do miss it but they are around 300 to replace. I figure that the big one is worth around 6 to 700 and the little one 150 to 200. Who makes the snap on welders anyway?

That ad has been up on CL for at least a week now. I search welders everyday on CL hoping to find the TIG steal of the day. :D

i just got an ideal arc 300/300 ACDC Tig for $750. 375 amp max output. Got to get a water cooled torch for it and a ground clamp and I should be set.

I have the Lincoln, its a great welder, got it with the bottle for 800.00 about 5 years ago. It may not be as fancy as some of the newer models but it sure makes my welds look good! Tim

I got this 1991 MM200 off CL earlier this year for $250, dude said it didnt work. I found the both the gun trigger leads shorted together and shorted to the gun electrode cable. Fixed it in 2 minutes with some Obama tape :flipoff2: (black tape)
