I had that same problem. You need an Ax-15 tranny if you want out the cheap way look for one out of an 89 or newer Yj wrangler they only came with 6cyl engines they hook up easy and are much better than the peugeu shitter <IMG SRC="smilies/smokin.gif" border="0">

While my puegot lasted me about 178,000 miles, this friday, if all goes as planned, and it never does, Im swapping in a TF-999 automatic. This was my choice, if you want to swap to an auto, the TF-999 would be your best bet, but bear in mind, there are still alot of things you need to keep in mind while doing the swap, as far as wanting a stronger manual tranny, The best bet would be an AX15. Parts for the swap wont cost too much, and you gain considerable strength. Ive spent about 1500 bucks on my auto tranny swap so far.. 300 of it was the tranny and t case, and 600 of it was the slip yoke eliminator and driveshaft from High angle. the other 600 was misc. parts, such as shifter, tranny cooler. a bunch of crap I couldnt get anywhere but the dealer, and... some other stuff.. Almost done getting parts, just have to get some tranny line, a couple fittings, and 4 bolts.. and Id like to get my SYE done tommorow, but I dont know if thats going to happen..
