Nylint crawlers suck but we got it for free, My 9year old and I built this over the weekend. We got it with extended links made from cut sharpie pen tubes, with larger tires. We pulled the body and made a tube chassis from brake line fittings and welded it with the miller 210 mig. Made a C (size) 6 cell pack to replace the AA(size) pack. and put some of my old RC-10 shocks on it with gear oil but no coils to keep it low.

Is that an after market speed control?
The smaller 1:18 scale crawlers not variable speed.
Ill have to get a video of ours up this weekend.

Dont give me ideas... I have several controllers and variable speed controls packed in my closet...

How'd you get the bigger tire and rims on the 1:18 scale one. I want to make mine a stick setup with a bigger tires setup and lexan body.

I took the stock wheel centers and JB welded them to the larger wheels and ran small screws threw the stock rim centers.

Took some youtube video of my son driving it today.

Cool thanks. Im new to the rc seen. I heading to a RC shop across town to find a new lexan body and bigger rims and tires for mine. I like the idea of useing magic marker tubs to lenghten link arms.
Im not wanting to go big bucks on a rc.

Ill have to get some pics. I bought and mount a set of 2.2 rock crawl tire and a plastic set of 2.2 rims to the stock rims need to lenghten the chassy it ended up been 10inchs wide. its working pretty good. The diffs are popoing going to glue them.

plans are to upgrade the steering to a real servo and batt's and stick chassy it with a 90's ram body like my mud truck. Cheap and lite.
