I know the fronts are easy enough. Does anyone have any suggestions on the rears? Can I get shorter axleshafts from another application? Also anyone know where I can get the shafts gun drilled. thanks.

A friend of mine is doing some RW's but I don't know if he is doing 2 fronts or a front rear combo. What he is doing is cutting the long side down and just using to short side axles.
www.markwilliams.com is a place you might try for gun drilling. They sell axles gun drilled but it is more for weight than anything else.

I wanted the axles drilled for weight. I am curious to see how light we can get a set of rockwells.

This sounds like a question for Daniel, plus this will bring it back to the top.

I dont think gundrilling will make a dent in the weight of that pig...

What is the actual weight of a front and rear rockwell. I know my 25HP tractor didnt like lifting the front with the loader. I am guessing about 800# for the front with my hydro. on it.
