I am swapping a 70's lincoln 460 with a 2wd trannsmission into my 79 f-350. I basically wrecked my motor mounts by torching them to fit my last motor in it (390). I am wondering what options and advice you guys have on this swap. I know L&L make some mounts for this, any other options? Would the frame mounts and motor mounts off a 2wd 79 truck with a 460 work?

Not sure on the 2wd....
Use the frame mounts for a 400 & these mounts...
http://performanceunlimited.com/customproducts/enginemount.html
All you need to do is drill a hole 1 inch above the 400 holes & it will bolt right in...
Iv used the same mounts on 2 trucks & not 1 prob...
Also I might have a set of 400 mounts from an F250...How far are you located from Eau Claire WI???
Also if your not a member check these guys out...They might have the part for you...

EDIT: OUCH....Just lookd it up 158 miles...I was going to tell you to drive over & get them guess that wont work..

the 2wd mounts are a no go. The mounts from performance unlimited work good ive had them. There is also a guy that makes motor mount towers for 460 swaps in that truck the place is called North Country Specialties, he has a website with them on it not sure of the price though.
