I bought this to build for my son, his name is Sten. He's in college and will be 20 in may. So what do I need to do, to legally a build a semi auto version of this? I have found several sites that sell tube pattern receivers etc. Lets hear from the PBB.

1st You are going to need to source a longer barrel, or leave the stock off. Unless you SBR it.

BBL from above + no stock = pistol

16" BBL + stock = rifle

BBL from above + stock = SBR

I just ordered the long barrel semi auto conversion kit from the site linked by RedHorsmen ... So it might not take that long to build. I may need to build another one after I get Stens done.

This is the only bummer on the semi auto kit.

I'm looking at it this way: I've got to pay a tax stamp one way or the other, might as well make it a quiet weapon all the time instead of just a short noisy one.

Though the cheap way is to get some tubing like what comes with the kit, drill some holes in it on the muzzle side, and weld it to the barrel.

i cant remember who i bought the kits from (TNT? lovejoy?) but i remember them having some magazines......

You can find them for under $10 each easily on sturmgewehr, subguns, and other places.

Ya know the interesting part of the Sterling comment is My buddy's kids name is Sterling. Sten and Sterling are a few years apart, and I usually just call Sterling dipshit but hey it's kinda cool... I still think Zombies would be way fawking cooler in a sterling pattern...
